What is the difference between a freight broker and a carrier?
A carrier owns the trucks and moves the freight. A freight broker arranges transportation by matching a shipper's load with a vetted carrier. Right Path Trucking does both — we run our own equipment and we arrange capacity, so we can cover your freight on our trucks or source the right partner carrier when capacity is tight.
How do you vet carriers?
Every carrier in our network is checked for active operating authority, a satisfactory safety rating, current cargo and liability insurance naming us as certificate holder, provincial carrier profile or CSA scores within our thresholds, and a signed carrier agreement. We re-verify insurance and authority continuously, not just at signup.
Do you handle customs clearance for cross-border loads?
Yes. We coordinate PARS and PAPS numbers, file ACE and ACI eManifests, work directly with your customs broker or ours, and handle bonded and in-bond moves. Documentation is submitted before the truck reaches the crossing.
What freight types do you broker?
Dry van, temperature-controlled reefer, flatbed and step deck including tarped and over-dimensional loads, LTL and partial shipments, and expedited or team-driver freight.
How quickly can you cover a load?
Standard lanes are typically covered same day. For urgent freight, call our dispatch line directly — we keep expedited and hot-shot capacity available on our core corridors.
Are you insured?
Yes. We carry cargo and general liability coverage, and certificates are available on request during shipper or carrier setup.
